MCCA Appoints Shannon McDermott as Director of Transportation
BOSTON- MCCA Executive Director David Gibbons today announced that Shannon McDermott has been appointed to the position of Director of Transportation effective immediately. McDermott has served in the transportation department for more than a decade, most recently as Transportation Manager. She will continue to be responsible for overseeing the MCCA’s relationships with more than thirty approved transportation vendors and dozens of hotel partners, coordinating and overseeing all event-related transportation operations, as well as administration of the MCCA vehicle fleet and on-site parking for vendors and MCCA employees.
“Shannon’s experience in our transportation department has been earned over a decade of service to the Authority and she is well prepared to take on her new leadership role,” said MCCA Executive Director David Gibbons. “Our commitment to providing comprehensive transportation services to our guests set the MCCA apart in the meetings and events industry and we are confident that Shannon will excel in this key role on behalf of the Authority and our guests from around the world.”
McDermott is a graduate of Stonehill College. She earned her JD from the New England School of Law and was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 2013.
